My involvement with the Boulder Affordable Housing Research Initiative reflects my long-term commitment to economic justice in the places where I live and work. I am especially interested in conducting research that benefits communities and cultivates relationships between university students and town residents.
I co-founded the Boulder Affordable Housing Research Initiative in 2015 with Jennifer Fluri and Abby Hickcox to generate research that supports affordable housing access for all Boulder residents. The project also builds relationships between university students, Boulder residents, and Boulder K-12 students. Working with diverse residents of Boulder County, BAHRI has conducted surveys, interviews and focus groups with individuals living in, seeking, or supporting affordable housing options in Boulder. The goal of the BAHRI research team is to conduct compelling and informative research on affordable housing needs, accessibility, and availability.
